Amritraj Sidelined for First Two Months

Stephen Amritraj, a senior at Crespi and a member of the U.S. Tennis Assn. boys’ 18 player-development team, will not play for at least the first two months of the season because of an injury, said his mother, Helen.

Amritraj underwent surgery two weeks ago to repair an anterior cruciate ligament that he tore while playing in the doubles quarterfinals of the Australian Open junior tournament. He and partner Luka Gregorc of Slovenia were forced to default.
