Rooms at three Manhattan hotels, all rated four diamonds, the second-highest rating, by AAA, are offered at a discount by online travel seller www.octopustravel.com/us in March. Rates at the 494-room Swissotel New York, the Drake, 440 Park Ave., are $195 per night, including tax (compared with $275 to $320 for two March dates checked by phone). The 1,247-room Waldorf-Astoria, 301 Park Ave., goes for $223 (compared with $297 quoted by phone for two March dates). And the 640-room Helmsley Park Lane, 36 Central Park South, is $186 (compared with $252 and $264 quoted by phone for two March dates). The rates are subject to availability.
