Principal Chosen for New Charter School
A principal has been chosen to lead a new charter school set to open this fall that will eventually be based at Cal State Channel Islands.
Linda Ngarupe, 41, who has taught and held administrative positions in the Pleasant Valley Unified School District for the last 10 years, was picked from a pool of 14 candidates.
The school, which will be housed at El Rancho Structured School in Camarillo for five years while money is raised to build a separate campus on the university grounds, will serve 250 students from the local neighborhood and 250 from around the county in kindergarten through fifth grades.
