* The average nationwide price for regular gasoline was unchanged last week at $1.116 a gallon. Gasoline on the West Coast increased 1.1 cents, making the region’s motor fuel the most expensive in the nation at $1.255 a gallon, the Energy Department said.

* German antitrust regulators have rejected U.S. cable entrepreneur John Malone’s $4.8-billion bid to buy six cable television systems from Deutsche Telekom and become Europe’s largest cable operator. The deal has been widely regarded as dead since Malone’s Liberty Media Corp. declined to make changes to satisfy the officials.

* News Corp.’s Lachlan Murdoch has added oversight of U.S. television stations to his duties as deputy chief operating officer, broadening his role at the media company controlled by his father, Rupert Murdoch.

* Best Buy Inc. said Vice Chairman and President Bradbury Anderson will take over as chief executive from Chairman Richard Schulze on June 30. Schulze will remain responsible for strategic business development. Schulze founded Best Buy in 1966 as a single audio store.
