Mortgage Rates Edge Downward in Week

Interest rates on 30- and 15-year fixed-rate mortgages fell slightly this week, Freddie Mac said.
Thirty-year fixed-rate mortgages averaged 7.14% in the week, down from 7.16% last week, while 15-year mortgages dipped to an average 6.62% from 6.65%.
Rates for one-year adjustable-rate mortgages rose to an average 5.26% from 5.25% last week.
