A Pot of Gold at Rainbow House

TIMES STAFF WRITER

Rainbow House, designed in the early ‘60s by architect John Lautner, has come on the market.

The Hollywood Hills house, which has had only four owners, is said to be in its original condition, which is a big plus to fans of Lautner, who designed the home for jazz composer Russ Garcia.

Lautner, who died in 1994 at 83, studied as an apprentice to Frank Lloyd Wright and designed a number of modernistic houses, including Chemosphere House, above Studio City, and Silvertop, overlooking Silver Lake.
