City Council OKs Sale of Ex-Branford Landfill

Paving the way for development of a large business park, the Los Angeles City Council gave final approval Tuesday to the sale of the former Branford Landfill and an adjacent Sanitation Bureau yard.
The council agreed to sell the 20 acres of city land for $2.25 million to SunQuest Development LLC, which will build 550,000 square feet of commercial and industrial space on part of the property.
