Robber Hits Drugstore, Flees in Old Pickup
An armed robber held up a drugstore and fled with an undisclosed amount of cash, police said Sunday.
The robbery took place about 7 p.m. Saturday at Rite Aid in the 700 block of Channel Islands Boulevard.
The gunman was carrying a black pistol when he demanded money from a cashier. He fled in an older, extended-cab Nissan pickup. The truck is lowered and in poor condition, police said.
The robber was black and bearded and about 6 feet 2 and 230 pounds. He was wearing a knit cap, sunglasses, a white T-shirt and bluejeans.
