Activision Buys Rest of Grey Matter Interactive

Activision Inc. said it purchased the remaining 60% of Los Angeles computer game developer Grey Matter Interactive Studios.

Activision, of Santa Monica, had owned 40% of Grey Matter, which co-developed “Return to Castle Wolfenstein,” a game that has sold nearly 1million copies since its November launch.

Activision issued 133,690 shares worth more than $3.1million for the remaining stake in Grey Matter, which will become a wholly owned subsidiary of Activision.

Activision shares closed down 51 cents at $23.50 on Nasdaq.
