Al Qaeda Prisoners
How can we, good citizens of the U.S., without objection, allow the terrorist attacks on New York and Washington to be an excuse to abandon principles of American democracy? We are proud that our country was founded on principles of justice and the rule of law. Now those are abandoned in our capture and imprisonment of Afghans and Arabs. Those who have been captured and imprisoned in Guantanamo--will we ever know who they are and what they have done? Are they guilty by association? Guilt by association is contrary to American principles of justice.
