Agencies to Conduct a Controlled Burn
From Times Staff Reports
A controlled burn of 650 acres of brush is scheduled for today, fire officials said.
Firefighters plan to ignite dozens of piles of cut and stacked brush, along with several standing bushes. The burn will occur on private land near Foothill and Fairview roads and is scheduled from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Officials said smoke will be visible for several miles and that roads in the immediate area could be closed temporarily if smoke drifts too far.
