The comedian stars on WB’s “The Steve Harvey Show” and has a new book out.

NBA Live: I like the Garden of Eden on Sundays. There’s usually a fun crowd, a lot of basketball players there. The Lakers usually show up after their games. They have a nice patio-deck area with a fireplace, and if you’ve got some pull, the managers will actually set up a PlayStation 2 and you can sit out there on the couches by the heat lamps and play NBA Live.

Board Games: When I was younger, you would have never caught me playing Pictionary or Scrabble or any of these little games. But now, it’s good for me to sit down. I play those kinds of games a lot with other couples. You just find yourself in these weird situations and you go, “I’m grown, that’s obviously why I am sitting here and playing this game with y’all.”

Popping Up Onstage: A young comedian that I performed with on my tour has a comedy night at the Hollywood Casino. It doesn’t have that Hollywood kind of pretentiousness, and at the same time the comedians are in there working very hard to be funny. For me, it’s a good place to just pop up onstage and work out some things, when I’m not really ready for that material to be out.

Buying Shoes: My wife is a big fan of window shopping and if I’m with her, she’s actually doing some real shopping. She’s going to have me pull out the credit card. She can go from mall to mall to mall, just back to back. Me, once I’ve decided that these are the shoes I want, that’s it, I’m ready to go.
