For Troops, Fund Lack Means Being Green

You can’t miss the Canadian troops in the desert around the Afghan town of Kandahar: They’re dressed in natty green camouflage.
The U.S. troops are decked out in desert camouflage, but the Canadians look as though they came prepared to fight in a forest.
Critics in Ottawa of Canada’s Liberal government, saying Afghan deserts are not known for foliage, said the issue reflects inadequate spending on the cash-strapped armed forces.
