It’s Rude to Let Pets Wander Neighborhoods

Share

Re “Probation for Frisky; Care Bill for Owner,” Jan. 5: Responsible people do not let domestic cats--or any animals, for that matter--wander outside in any environment, particularly one in which where there is an active coyote presence. The euthanasia or quarantine of Frisky is a moot point because the cat probably will be killed by a car, dog, exposure to fertilizer or poison, coyote, or one of the many other outdoor hazards. Also, it’s rude to allow any pets to wander onto neighbors’ properties where they defecate, urinate and create other nuisances.
