Webber, Stojakovic Get Kings to a Dozen

Chris Webber had 24 points and 11 rebounds, and Peja Stojakovic scored 21 points, leading the Sacramento Kings past the Memphis Grizzlies, 112-98, Monday night for their 12th consecutive victory.

The Kings extended their winning streak at Arco Arena to 16 games and improved to an NBA-best 31-9.

Tony Massenburg scored 23 points and Rodney Buford had 18 for the Grizzlies, who shot a season-high 56% but committed 23 turnovers. Pau Gasol scored 16 points.

Memphis played without Shane Battier, who is out because of a strained left groin, and former King Jason Williams, who had a migraine.

Utah 101, Golden State 99--Karl Malone scored 37 points, making a season-high 16 free throws, and Bryon Russell made five free throws in the final 15 seconds for Utah at Oakland.

Antawn Jamison scored 25 points and Larry Hughes had 19 for Golden State.

Indiana 93, Chicago 81--Reggie Miller scored 20 points and Jonathan Bender and Al Harrington had 18 apiece at Chicago, and the Pacers ended a five-game skid.

Ron Mercer had 18 points for Chicago.

Seattle 109, Philadelphia 98--Gary Payton scored 28 points at Philadelphia and the SuperSonics set a team record by shooting 66.1% (41 of 62).

Allen Iverson led the 76ers with 38 points, and became the eighth player in Philadelphia history to score 10,000 points.

Vin Baker scored 20 points for the SuperSonics.

Milwaukee 97, Detroit 79--Michael Redd scored 21 points and Sam Cassell had 18 at Auburn Hills, Mich., leading the Bucks to their eighth consecutive victory.

Detroit’s Jerry Stackhouse scored 19 points.

Atlanta 95, Houston 91--Jason Terry scored 19 points at Atlanta and the Hawks ended a six-game losing streak.

The Hawks overcame the loss of leading scorer Shareef Abdur-Rahim, who was ejected after his battle with Kenny Thomas for position in the lane escalated into a third-quarter fight. Thomas also was ejected.

Abdur-Rahim had 16 points and nine rebounds. Nazr Mohammed had 18 points and 17 rebounds for Atlanta.

Boston 106, Toronto 97--Paul Pierce scored 30 points and Antoine Walker had 20 points and 10 assists for the Celtics at Boston.

Vince Carter scored 26 points for Toronto.

Miami 95, Cleveland 93--Brian Grant made two jumpers in the final 1:22 of overtime at Cleveland and Miami won its fifth in a row.

Eddie Jones scored 27 points for Miami.

Wesley Person had 19 points for the Cavaliers, who lost for the 10th consecutive time.

Minnesota 105, Washington 101--Kevin Garnett had 23 points and nine assists for the Timberwolves at Minneapolis to offset Michael Jordan’s 29 points.

The Timberwolves won for the 14th time in 16 games and improved to 18-2 at home.

Former Long Beach State and NBA player George Trapp, 53, died at Detroit’s Sinai Grace Hospital, where he was being treated after being stabbed in the stomach by his roommate Jan. 11, police said.

Trapp played two seasons with Atlanta and four with Detroit.
