Re “Evolution’s Pregnant Pause: Artificial Wombs,” Commentary, Jan. 21: Jeremy Rifkin was too late with his warning that artificial wombs would “risk producing beings who are unable to emotionally connect and be fully human.”

Such beings are already here, as Rifkin should have known if he had been reading recent revelations about the executives at Enron.
