Free Pap Smears and Mammograms
Annual Pap smears, which can detect and help prevent cervical cancer, are recommended for all women. To obtain more information--or to schedule a free Pap smear and mammogram--call the L.A. County Office of Women’s Health at (800) 793-8090.

Pap smears--An item in the Jan. 28 Health section should have specified that only low-income women may obtain free Pap smears and mammograms through the L.A. County Office of Women’s Health. No one will be denied referrals or information, however.
