Salmon Salad, Soup du Jour

Cafe Pinot, next to the downtown Los Angeles library, is a beautiful place to eat. But if you don’t have time to lounge on its patio, order from the takeout window. Try the grilled salmon salad, perfect for warm weather. It consists of a nicely sized salmon filet with mixed greens, a container of vinaigrette dressing and a slice of ciabatta bread with butter neatly packed to go. Each day, there’s a different soup. The day we picked up the salmon, it was corn and potato bisque with mushrooms and applewood-smoked bacon.
