Ex-President Is Sent to Testify in Milosevic Trial

Former Yugoslav President Zoran Lilic was detained and flown to the Netherlands to testify in the U.N. war crimes trial of his successor, Slobodan Milosevic, Lilic’s lawyer and wife said.
Lilic was the figurehead president from 1993 to 1997. He was subpoenaed to testify as a prosecution witness in the trial of Milosevic, who was indicted for genocide and crimes against humanity in three Balkan wars, said Lilic’s lawyer, Dragan Saponjic.
