Not Playing in Traffic
I read with some chuckles “Alhambra, S. Pasadena Playing Chicken Again” (July 24). Having lived in Alhambra since the 1980s, I personally understand the passion both cities have toward traffic control. And while I would not have used the phrase “the first battle of Fremont Avenue backfired and blew up in Alhambra’s face,” I do commend you for an evenhanded reporting of this sensitive topic. Traffic control and the 710 Freeway are topics to avoid in any polite setting in this part of town.
