Question: I’m a 15-year-old female who is in desperate need of your help. Although I’m thin (5 feet, 7 inches tall and 118 pounds), lately I’ve been having a problem with cellulite on my thighs and stomach. I’ve become extremely depressed about this, and I’m wondering if there is any workout or anything to help me.

Answer: Cellulite, which produces a dimpling effect on our skin, can be difficult to erase.

To diminish these deposits, you need to burn more calories through proper diet and exercise. Try to fit in at least four cardiovascular workouts each week, at least 30 minutes each time. Exercise within your target heart-rate range to ensure sufficient intensity. And definitely add weightlifting to your routine; it’s a great way to build muscle, shape your body and burn calories--which reduces fat and cellulite. You should notice a difference after three weeks.

Don’t be suckered into ads promoting lotions and pills for cellulite removal. These drugs won’t help--and could be harmful.
