11 Communist Rebels Killed at Guerrilla Camp

Philippine troops shot 11 communist rebels to death in a raid on a mountain camp near the city of General Santos on Mindanao island, an army spokesman said.
Two rebels were captured, and government forces suffered no casualties in the 40-minute battle, the spokesman said.
The rebels have been fighting for a Marxist state in the largely Catholic country for more than three decades.
