4 Sailors Abducted Near Guerrilla Stronghold

Eight gunmen abducted four Indonesian sailors from a barge and tugboat sailing by the southern Philippine island base of Muslim extremists, the coast guard said.
The barge was off the Basilan island base of Abu Sayyaf rebels, but they were not immediately tied to the kidnapping. The area also is known for piracy
The rebels previously beheaded Guillermo Sobero of Corona, Calif., and U.S. missionary Martin Burnham and a Philippine nurse were killed during a recent rescue effort.
