Cabinet Gets 1st Female Secretary-General

A lawmaker named secretary-general of Taiwan’s Cabinet is the first woman to serve in that post.
The island’s premier, Yu Shyi-kun, appointed Liu Shih-fang, whose duties will include helping manage the Cabinet and selling government policies to parliament.
Yu, the No. 3 ranking leader, had promised to bring more women into the male-dominated Cabinet.
