Councilman Arrested in Solicitation of Bribe
From Times Staff and Wire Reports
District attorney investigators in San Joaquin County arrested City Councilman Dave Macedo on a felony charge of soliciting a bribe.
They accuse him of asking for a bribe from City Atty. John Brinton in exchange for approving a pay increase for Brinton. Macedo’s lawyer denied the charge. He said the councilman accepted $7,500 from Brinton for work he had done 18 years ago for a partnership involving Brinton.
