Wild Elephant Goes on Rampage, Killing 12

A wild elephant rampaged through villages on both sides of the India-Nepal border, trampling 12 people to death, police said.
The pachyderm’s first victim was a woman in India’s West Bengal state. Next was an 11-year-old boy, followed by three plantation workers, two guards and two villagers there, police said. The elephant then crossed into Nepal and killed an elderly man and a young couple.
