Summer Program Set for New Kindergartners
Registration is open for a free summer preschool program for eight schools in the Hueneme Elementary School District.
The two- to four-week program is for children preparing to start kindergarten in the fall. Parents may take part in workshops and parenting classes and may help in the classroom. All classes are taught by certified Hueneme district teachers.
Sessions begin July 8 at Haycox, Hueneme, Sunkist and Williams elementary schools and July 15 at Hathaway, Parkview and Hollywood Beach schools. Children who will be attending Larsen Elementary School, which is under construction, may attend the program at Hathaway school.
