Borough Governments

Re “Let’s Accent the Positives on Retaining the Valley in L.A..” Commentary, Feb. 22: I was born in Manhattan and raised in New York City’s borough of Queens. I don’t recall any complaints or controversy over the system of one mayor and City Council and five borough governments. Los Angeles--and especially my neighbors in the San Fernando Valley--need a well-informed discussion of the proven borough system.
