Building Fire Damages Put at $1.2 Million

County fire investigators on Friday continued to probe the cause of a blaze that badly damaged a three-story apartment house and caused about $1.2 million in damages, authorities said.
On Thursday, the fire forced dozens of residents to evacuate the apartment building in the 500 block of North Croft Avenue. Some residents of the 71-unit building had to be rescued by firefighters.
