50,000 March Against Basque Separatist Group
From Times Wire Reports
About 50,000 people marched in the Spanish town of Portugalete to condemn the latest attack blamed on the Basque separatist group ETA.
A bomb exploded Thursday in the town, slightly injuring a local Socialist politician and her bodyguard.
The ETA, which stands for Basque Homeland and Freedom, is blamed for more than 800 killings in its three-decade campaign for independence for the Basque Country.
