‘32 Ford Enthusiasts Take a Step Back in Time at Deuce Day

Share

It has been seven decades since Ford Motor Co. first stuck a V-8 engine in a car, but those 70-year-old vehicles still have lots of fans. Nearly 3,000 of them showed up Saturday for Deuce Day, a celebration of the 1932 Ford, at the Petersen Automotive Museum.

Tom Gale, the former Chrysler Corp. design chief who flew in from Michigan just for the event, called it “awe-inspiring.”

The show featured examples of 20 of the 21 body styles Ford produced in 1932, ranging from unrestored stock models to extravagantly custom hot rods.
