CSUN Center Reaches Record Enrollment
From Times Staff Reports
Enrollment at Cal State Northridge’s Channel Islands off-campus center has reached a record 1,902 students for the current semester.
The spring 2002 figure translates into the center having a full-time equivalent enrollment of more than 1,000 students--also a first, officials said.
Center officials attributed the high enrollment to a cooling economy and publicity on the opening of the campus in the fall. Academic programs will gradually move from the center to the new university.
