You Can’t Really Take Barkley Seriously
Lighten up, America. Charles Barkley’s joke about Augusta National lengthening its course for the Masters being an act of “racism” was precisely that--a joke.
This is the same guy who said he wanted to run for governor of Alabama; who had the media believing he was going to make a Michael Jordan-style comeback; and who, when he played for the Houston Rockets, told reporters he wished the team would acquire a player who had “a larger butt” than he did.
Charles is going to continue to regale us with his bizarre comments for as long as the media provide him a forum to do so.
