Blinded by the Light

Re “Drivers Complain of a Glaring Problem,” March 19: In 1991-93, while living in Switzerland, I was struck by how the headlights of French cars were yellow. While I found them strange, I did notice that there was no glare while driving on the road. I do not see why car manufacturers in the United States cannot adopt this policy, which should help alleviate the annoyance of glaring lights while driving.
