Retiree Tied to Diluted Drug Case Pleads Guilty

A retired drug salesman pleaded guilty in Kansas City to providing stolen drugs to a pharmacist who has admitted he watered down cancer medications for profit.
Aram Paraghamian, 72, sold $200,000 worth of drugs stolen from a Denver area hospital to Robert R. Courtney, who owned two pharmacies in the Kansas City area, authorities said.
Paraghamian, of Westminster, Colo., pleaded guilty to transporting stolen property across state lines from 1996 to 2001. The federal count carries a maximum 10-year prison sentence and a $250,000 fine.
