We Have Peace at El Toro at Last
Today I drove to El Toro; for the first time I felt I could actually taste the silence. With the passing of Measure W and the election of Chris Norby to the Board of Supervisors, the residents of South County can relax and get on with life. The disruption and threat created by the planning for an international airport is over, and the living in the bedroom community suddenly regained the sweetness that it had years ago.
The drive and dedication of the anti-airport folk were admirable, and it shows how the work of few can benefit the lives of many. God bless them all.
