Husband Sues Pastor Over Alleged Affair
A man has filed suit against a church pastor for allegedly having an affair with his wife while the pastor was providing marriage counseling for the couple.
The suit filed this week accuses former Senior Pastor Joe Haydock of giving negligent, false and improper marital advice to obtain sexual favors and ruin the marriage. The suit also names Clovis Evangelical Free Church, which hired Haydock and offered the free counseling sessions.
John D. Barker, 45, alleges his wife, Amber, and Haydock began a sexual affair while Haydock was counseling the couple from 1999 to 2001. The Barkers have since filed for divorce.
