A 2-year-old boy was critically burned when gas on the floor of the garage where he was playing ignited a clothes dryer pilot.
The flash fire occurred Monday night and burned more than 60% of his body. He was in critical condition Tuesday at County-USC Medical Center.
Carolina Diaz, the boy’s 28-year-old mother, was in the front yard while he was playing in the garage, firefighters said. She suffered second-degree burns.
