Computer Associates Adds New Directors

Computer Associates International Inc., whose accounting practices are the subject of two federal investigations, said it has named a former chief accountant of the Securities and Exchange Commission and a Harvard Business School professor to its board.
Walter Schuetze, who also had been chief accountant of the SEC’s division of enforcement, and Jay Lorsch, faculty chairman of Harvard University’s global corporate governance initiative, have been advising the company on its financial reporting and corporate governance.
Computer Associates shares rose 66 cents to $20.76 on the New York Stock Exchange.
