Plenty of Vroom to Move Around

Share

After attending a great event Sunday, the Yamaha Indy 400, I am stunned at the attendance and support from local race fans.

Where were you people? This was a great race with a lot more excitement than other events I’ve spent more money for. Maybe the cost of tickets was too steep for a first-time event of this kind. Maybe the weather was a factor. But maybe the promoter should promote! In a race heavily dominated by Chevy engines, where were the Chevy dealers? Why weren’t they giving tickets away for weeks before?

A little advice from Mr. Penske might have gone a long way to make this successful. My party of four had a great time, but lowering the ticket prices would go a long way to get more people out. Heck, give them away, people still buy $6 beer and $8 cheeseburgers when they get there.
