From Times Wire Reports

Virginia’s ban on purchasing wine and beer from out of state is unconstitutional, a federal judge has ruled in a case that could allow state consumers more choice in buying from vineyards and breweries across the country.

On Friday, a federal judge said the law violates the Constitution by discriminating against out-of-state wineries and breweries that want to sell their products in Virginia.

Across the country, consumers are fighting similar restrictions.
