Backup Power Allows Courthouse to Reopen
The Central Justice Center in Santa Ana reopened for business Thursday after a power outrage shut down the courthouse the day before.
A backup generator powered the courthouse as crews worked to replace a 4,000-volt cable that malfunctioned. The outage also affected the Orange County Jail and other nearby buildings.
Workers plan to switch the courthouse from the backup generator to normal power today.
