18 From U.S. Accused of Political Acts, Expelled

Eighteen people, apparently all part of a U.S. college program, have been expelled from Mexico for violating a ban on political activities by foreigners, the government announced.
The Americans were accused of taking part in a demonstration Wednesday protesting government attempts to expropriate farmers’ land for a new airport.
Mexico said Daniel Leahy, a professor at Evergreen State College in Olympia, Wash., led the group.
