Lady Bird Johnson Remains Hospitalized
From Times Wire Reports
Lady Bird Johnson was in fair condition, alert and in good spirits after a mild stroke, officials said Saturday.
The former first lady, left unable to speak, was expected to remain at Seton Medical Center in Austin through the weekend.
Johnson, 89, was hospitalized after she awoke from a nap Thursday and had trouble speaking and swallowing. Her doctor said she appeared to have suffered damage to a small area of her brain.
