Autodesk Says It Missed 1st-Quarter Estimates

Autodesk Inc., which makes software used to design bridges, buildings and video games, said fiscal first-quarter sales and profit fell more than forecast, sending the shares down 19%. Demand in Asia dropped, and sales of Discreet special-effects and animation software lagged forecasts.

Shares fell $3.24 to $14.07 on Nasdaq.
