Justice Perren to Speak at CLU Graduation

Court of Appeal Justice Steven Perren will be the keynote speaker at Cal Lutheran University’s graduation ceremonies on May 18. He is also to receive an honorary law degree from the school.

Perren was appointed to the 2nd District Court of Appeal in 1999 by Gov. Gray Davis. Perren served as a Ventura County Superior Court judge for 17 years.

Perren graduated from UCLA Law School in 1967, and spent two years in the Army Signal Corps, including a year in Vietnam. He later returned to take a prosecutor position in the Ventura County district attorney’s office and later went into private practice in Ventura.
