That Old-Time TV

Share

After reading the article about former NBC executives discussing and reminiscing about the good old days of television (“Yesterday, When Cable Seemed So Far Away,” by Brian Lowry, May 4), I felt a little sad.

Sad in the sense that the programs that are on the air today are so mediocre. Shows today are held together by foul language, bad stories, dead bodies, people dissecting those dead bodies and, let’s not forget, people so desperate for a moment of fame they will eat worms and jump off the side of a tall building.

This is what they call entertainment? No wonder nostalgia is so popular.
