She’s Crushed

While I was thrilled to see two articles on “Blue Crush,” the movie I spent 21/2 years writing, I was also appalled that neither article mentioned the names of the screenwriters. In “She’s Gotta Surf It” (by Chris Petrikin, May 5), everyone from the water safety team to the stunt doubles was discussed, but not the people who created the characters, shaped the story and crafted the dialogue of the film.

How ironic that the other article in which “Blue Crush” was featured (“A Chick Flick by Any Other Name,” by Rachel Abramowitz, May 5) was about movies that empower women. But not once did she mention the chick who co-wrote this flick.
