A Port Hueneme man who allegedly collected state disability insurance while working as a disc jockey at an Oxnard bowling alley has been booked on suspicion of workers’ compensation fraud.

Todd Owen Balcom, 51, was taken into custody Tuesday by investigators with the California Department of Insurance, Ventura County Deputy Dist. Atty. Marc Leventhal said.

Leventhal said an investigation revealed that Balcom worked as a disc jockey for nearly a year at the Wagon Wheel Bowl after filing a disability claim for an arm injury he sustained while driving a truck.
