From Times Wire Reports

Italian Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi lost his bid to have judges in his corruption trial removed.

A Milan appeals court rejected arguments by Berlusconi’s lawyers that judges are biased in the case. The premier and a lawmaker in his party are accused of bribing Rome judges to win a favorable ruling in a bid to acquire a food conglomerate.

Berlusconi, a billionaire who entered politics a decade ago, has long blamed his legal troubles on Milan’s “biased” prosecutors and judges. He has denied all criminal accusations.
